City of Fayetteville
Development Services is now meeting walk-in customers in the Cape Fear Conference Room at the front of City Hall. Professional staff from Planning, Zoning, and Building Inspection will meet with customers who cannot otherwise complete tasks online or by phone. The Permit Technicians and Finance Department expect to be operating from this location Wednesday (3/18).
The conference room will hold four customers at a time. Paperwork that cannot be done online will be available in the foyer. Code Enforcement continues to operate as normal with inspections conducted by car and at a distance from others.
Building and Trade inspections continue to operate. A slight modification for inspectors is that they will ask general questions before entering homes and businesses to conduct their requested inspections.
Customers continue to be encouraged to use the website portals found at https://fayettevillenc.gov/government/city-departments/development-services to request service.
As of now Cumberland County Inspections are operating on a normal business schedule and conducting inspections as usual.
City of Raeford
City of Raeford is closed to the general public. All departments are functioning on normal scheduled but communications are limited to phone, email and fax. Applications are available for all permits on the city website: www.raefordcity.org and request for inspections can be made over the phone or via email. Inspections are still being scheduled and conducted, as long as the site is “safe”. Interior inspections that may have a sick or compromised individual will be rescheduled to help prevent any possible cross-contamination. All exterior inspections and new construction inspections are being conducted with no issues. We are continuing to monitor the situation and will make changes as needed. We encourage everyone to stay in touch with updates on our city website.
